Ruben, 25 years old, is from the Texas border town of Nuevo Laredo. His father was American, so Ruben has dual citizenship. He has spent most of his life in Mexico working a slew of odd jobs, mostly the illegal kind. After being involved in a drug deal gone wrong, where one man escaped, a known cartel affiliate Chachito. Ruben finds himself seriously wounded and in a desperate need of medical attention. He manages to cross over the border and steal a car from 4 tourists who have stopped to let their son use the restroom by the side of the road. The father pulls out a gun and Ruben deflects it, but ends up shooting the man in the stomach, killing him. Ruben takes the car and is eventually caught, but not before he manages to bury some cash he took off the drug hoodlums near a mile marker on Highway 10. He ultimately lands himself in the Huntsville penitentiary...

Portland based filmmaker Jon Garcia has released 6 feature length movies in varying genres in his short career as a filmmaker, including the cult trilogy of The Falls, The Falls:Testament of Love, and The Falls:Covenant of Grace. His motion pictures have screened in film festivals all over the world, have been in worldwide distribution with Breaking Glass Pictures, and have been available on platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and iTunes. Jon is the founder of Portland based LAKE Productions.
Garcia was nominated for an Emmy in 2016 for producing and directing original content on the weekly show Oregon Artbeat for Oregon Public Broadcasting. He has worked regularly with the Amazon crew in Brooklyn, NY to create original fashion videos with Amazon products and he has worked on over 40 videos for Wacom, an international creative hardware company.
As a musician, Jon Garcia is the singer-songwriter for his two self-produced studio albums, has performed soundtracks on award winning feature films, had a popular song on BBC radio in the UK, and is the music supervisor for all his films. He has also written and performed his music on his own films as well as for other filmmakers movies and he often sings professionally.
As a novelist, Garcia co-wrote a book based on his screenplay The Falls which is distributed by Dreamspinner Press and in late 2017 Eric B. Olsen will release the Garcia biography The Films of Jon Garcia 2009-2013 with a target market of film schools and fans alike.
Currently Jon runs his entity, Lake Productions, a full service production company which specializes in production and post production of narrative feature films, documentaries, commercials, and music videos. He participates in the sound design and editing of all his pictures.The music video Feel like Running which Garcia produced & directed, won Paste Magazine’s national music video of the year and he directed “Homeless The musical” for the stage in 2017 as part of the Fertile Ground Festival.
Jon Garcia is known for his universal stories, his directorial eye, his visually striking pictures and his high level of execution and delivery. His current motion picture, Sex Weather, was shot in under two weeks and his 2016 release The Falls:Covenant of Grace was completed in an unheard of 15 weeks from principal photography to delivery.

Producer and Operations Manager Stephanie Salvey has partnered with filmmaker Jon Garcia in order to expand Lake Productions operations and to bring the production house to the next level. Her film credits include Line Producer and Public Relations for motion pictures including The Falls: Covenant of Grace and Sex Weather.
Stephanie brings two decades of entertainment industry experience with her legal, creative, & business executive expertise in a variety of roles such as: nightclub owner, legal facilitator, project manager, journalist, publicist, music promoter, business paralegal, band manager, accountant, record label staffer, booking agent, and public relations/marketing strategist. She is an accomplished business & legal writer of documents such as financial forecasts & business plans, copyrights & music licensing, and entertainment contracts such as talent, crew, & location.
Salvey’s extensive higher education includes legal studies and a Bachelor Degree with emphasis in entrepreneurial & international business. On staff at Two Louie’s Magazine and Oregon Music News she was a reporter, journalist, photographer, editor, and columnist over many years.
Stephanie considers herself a social scientist and her passions and professional experiences are diverse including: US Senate candidate, Culinary Coordinator for The Bite of Oregon where she launched Iron Chef Oregon, and Corporate Secretary for musician’s health nonprofit The Jeremy Wilson Foundation. She conceived, owned, and operated several business including Vinnie’s, her beloved old-Portland waterfront concert venue & fine Italian dining establishment.
